Become An Instructor - Getting Started
STEP 1 :: Find a MOSSA Licensed Facility in Your Area.
Use our Program Locator to search for a current MOSSA licensed facility in your area. In order to attend Training, you need to be associated with a licensed facility. ** The owner or group fitness director of a licensed MOSSA facility will need to approve you in order to attend the Training.**
STEP 2 :: Register Online for a MOSSA Training.
Our training dates are listed on the Training Calendar. Once you have selected a Training to attend, register online. For Instructors who showed up on the day of training and their name was not on the attendee list, click here to fill out and submit your Instructor Agreement and to sign up for Autoship.
STEP 3 :: Receive Confirmation of Approval.
After you have submitted your registration online, we will contact the facility’s owner and/or group fitness director to receive approval for you to attend the Training. An approval must occur prior to attending the Training. This process can take 3 to 5 business days to receive your confirmation for the Training. To expedite this process, please have your group fitness director contact our Training Department to confirm your association with the facility - email@example.com

What To Know Prior To Training
Review and sign the Instructor Agreement prior to Training
You should have completed this step when you registered for the training online. Make sure you read all of the information thoroughly. It is also important to understand the MOSSA trainings include physically demanding workouts and are therefore only appropriate for individuals in good physical and mental health.
If you did not complete this step, you can do so by clicking here
DOWNLOAD YOUR INSTRUCTOR WORKBOOK.
You will receive a link to files that contain your Instructor Workbook for training. Be sure to download these files and follow the directions included.
ARRIVE ON TIME FOR THE TRAINING (15 MINUTES EARLY)
Instructors who arrive after the trainer led workout has begun will not be permitted into the training. For 3D30/MOVE30, Group Active, and Group Core trainings, this is after the Branding section has begun.
PARTICIPATE IN 100% OF THE TRAINING
You are required to complete all of the allotted days and hours of the training, participating in all aspects
BRING A MUSIC PLAYER
During training, you will receive program resources which include an audio CD. It is important that you have a way to listen to music on this CD over the course of the training (e.g., an MP3 player, portable CD player, portable DVD player, or laptop computer) with headphones. If you are using an MP3 player, be sure to have a way to import the music during the first day of training; the trainer will not be able to import the music for you. If you are unable to import the music on day one, try to borrow a CD player for the weekend instead of purchasing one. Another option would be to bring a headphone splitter and share with a teammate until you are able to import. When training for 3D30/MOVE30 and Group Core, it is not necessary to be able to play a music CD.
HAVE THE ABILITY TO WATCH VIDEO
Your program resources will also include a DVD with a video of the workout for you to practice your assigned homework. You will want to have the ability to watch this video over the course of the training. You will be able to play the DVD on a portable DVD player, laptop computer (with an internal or external CD/DVD disk drive), or gaming console. There are also MP4 files of the workout on the DVD that can be played on a computer and uploaded to a smartphone or tablet. When training for 3D30/MOVE30 and Group Core, it is not necessary to have the ability to watch the video. For 3D30/MOVE30 training, you will need to bring a video recording device with enough memory to video 15 minutes of footage (approx. 2GB). A smartphone, tablet, or video camera will do the trick.
A CHANGE OF CLOTHES SUGGESTED AND APPROPRIATE SHOES REQUIRED
We suggest you dress in layers as room temperatures may vary.
PLAN ON HOMEWORK
You will be assigned homework. We recommend clearing your schedule for the evening(s). When training for Group Core and 3D30/MOVE30, there is no homework assigned.
BRING PLENTY OF FOOD AND SNACKS
Maybe even a special treat for the trainer!
